Kcee (Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo) is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music veteran from Uli, Anambra State, born April 18, 1979. He was raised in Ajegunle, Lagos, and comes from a musical background—his father was a DJ and record seller.

He started in a duo called KC Presh with his friend Presh; they won the Star Quest competition in 2002 and released music together until their split in 2011. Going solo, Kcee broke out with hits like “Okpekete” and “Limpopo” and has released albums Take Over (2013) and Attention to Detail (2017).

Known for his versatility, Kcee blends Afrobeats, highlife, and native Igbo elements. He’s experimented with traditional styles (like in Cultural Praise) and newer fusions (such as “Ojapiano”), and remains one of Nigeria’s enduring artists with relevance across generations.
