Idowest (Adekunle Idowu) is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his street-hop and Afrobeats fusion. He was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria.
He gained popularity with the breakout single “Shepeteri” featuring Slimcase in 2017, which made him a major voice in Lagos street music. Shortly after, he signed with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2018.
Idowest has released projects like Mafia Culture (2020) and Mafia Culture Vol. 2.0 (2021), featuring collaborations with Davido, Mayorkun, and Bella Shmurda. His energetic delivery, street slang, and relatable storytelling have earned him a loyal fanbase in the Nigerian street-pop scene.
