Last Played:Cruel Santino (Osayaba Andrew Ize-Iyamu), born June 3, 1992 in Lagos, is a Nigerian alternative singer-songwriter, rapper and director. He was formerly known as Santi (and before that Ozzy B), and is part of the Monster Boys collective with GMK and Genio Bambino.
He released his debut studio album Mandy & The Jungle in 2019, which helped bring the alté sound more into the mainstream with tracks like “Rapid Fire.” In 2022 he followed up with Subaru Boys: FINAL HEAVEN, a highly conceptual 21-track project that expanded his sonic universe.
His music blends R&B, indie, hip-hop, dancehall and alternative pop, often with experimental production, unique vocal delivery (“Santinese”), and strong visual storytelling. Cruel Santino is considered one of the leading voices pushing Nigeria’s alté / alternative music scene forward.
