BOJ (Bolaji Odojukan) is an English-Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer born April 22, 1994. He split his upbringing between London and Lagos and is one third of the musical group DRB LasGidi.

He is considered a pioneer of the alté movement in Nigeria—a genre blend that mixes Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, and alternative R&B. He coined the term “alté” on his 2014 song “Paper.” Over the years he’s released projects like Magic (2017) and Gbagada Express (2022), and EPs like Make E No Cause Fight with Ajebutter22.

His music is known for genre-blending, smooth vocals, and experimental sounds that push beyond mainstream boundaries. BOJ continues to be influential for many emerging artists in the alté and alternative Nigerian music scenes.
